Q. The "GAMES 4 U" store is advertising a contest where you can earn a coupon for 50% off the admission price to the amusement park. In order to receive the coupon, you must compete against another contestant in an integer contest. The Contest: Using a standard deck of cards, play a game similar to the game "Twenty-one." The winner of the game gets the coupon; the loser gets nothing. The Object of the Game: Each player will try to get a set of cards that add up to the number 21 or come close to 21 without going over. If a player's cards add up to a number over 21, that player automatically loses the game. (In this game, we are trying to reach positive 21.) How do you play? When a coupon says limit 4... "limit four items per coupon" do I have to have 4 separate coupons for each item?
Q.
Asked by - Sat May 28 00:35:44 2011 - Other - Food & Drink - 6 Answers - Comments

A. No, it is one coupon and see if there is an assortment. Some of ours might say "3 for $4.99 assorted" and on offer may be several flavours of the product. In this case I am talking about Bluebird Potato Chips. That means you could buy 3 or the same flavour or one of 3 flavours. If it was to be a particularly good buy and you had 2 coupons you could buy 6 bags. In this case there are 6 flavours so you could get one of each, or how many of which you want. I am not trying to sell anything and if you look at those prices you will see they are astronomical when you compare that with what I have quoted from one of our weekly fliers. You should be able to relate that to the items you are thinking of.

On coupons, what does it mean when it says "Only one coupon per purchase"?
Q. I went to Bashas today to buy a Pepsi Max with my coupon that was .55 cents off and as I wanted to buy seven of the 2 liter pepsi the chashier lady told me "you can only use one coupon for one pepsi per purchase and thats it you cannot use any more coupons for any more pepsi's". So I just said well I'll just buy one pepsi then. So she also said the purchase means only one coupon in a single purchase. So that ment I have to purchase one pepsi seven times. Because of this I just said well take six of those pepsi's back and I'll just purchase one with one coupon. Tell me was this right or not. Should she have let me buy the other six sodas or was she just being a pain in my a.. She was also the manager. Maybe she misunderstood the… [cont.]
Asked by Moon85 - Fri Oct 28 16:24:46 2011 - Other - Business & Finance - 4 Answers - Comments

A. I don't get what's so difficult to understand here. 1 coupon per Pepsi. That means you can only take $.55 off of one Pepsi, not 7 Pepsis. This is standard. 1 coupon per purchase. That means that even if you had 7 coupons, you cannot use them all in one purchase. This is pretty standard for larger discounts. If you want 6 more Pepsis at $.55 off, you get 6 more coupons and do 6 more separate transactions. On coupons where you can apply it to several products, it usually says "Up to 3" or "Limit 3 with coupon".

Why is it the most of the restaurants found in the "Best of Sacramento" annual coupon booklet have closed?
Q. It is frustrating to see an appealing place to eat within its covers, only to discover later that they have gone out of business.

A. ya know, it is a bit frustrating! I do know that I try and keep up to date with yelp.com, I dunno if you know about it but if not it's a review site and let's you read everyone's reviews on local resturants, bars, clubs - etc. A lot of time people even have the up to date drama behind some places. It's a good resource and I've even found out about a few good places I haven't seen yet and I've been here all my life.

What exactly does "Limit one coupon per purchase" mean?
Q. The coupon says "Limit One Coupon per Purchase". According to the coupon, I get one dollar discount for 5 items. If I buy 10 items, does it mean I could use 2 coupons and 2 dollars discount? If I could only use 1 coupon, what would prevent me from buying 5 items, use 1 coupon, coming back an hour later and buy another 5 items and use another coupon?

How do I do one of those "text this here for this coupon" things?
Q. You've seen them. "Text 4545 to our thing, and we'll send you a coupon/discount/joke of the day" etc. I don't have a cell phone, and would like people to be able to text their phone number and maybe a selection for a contest, and preferably have the information emailed to me. Are there companies that do this?
